Wild cook-out
What is it? Hire the
woodland shelter for half a day (lunch or tea/dinner) with its fireplace
and benches for a really secluded cook-out and picnic.
Who is it for? Suitable for up to 12 people. You need to be
prepared for a 20 minute walk from the car park and toilets. The
site is not accessible to your vehicle.
What Wilderness Wood provides. An outdoor picnic bench, a shelter
with a bench and other seats. An outdoor fireplace for cooking, which
has rails for billy-cans etc. A water bottle for fire extinguishing.
Written instructions on safety, where to collect firewood, etc. A map.
You can buy charcoal or firewood from us if you do not want to collect firewood.
What to bring Whatever
else you want to carry! Food and drink, water. cooking equipment, mugs etc.

When? Negotiable, but preferably 11am-3pm or 4pm-8pm
How much? £12 plus normal admission of £3.40 per adult, £2.05
per child (3-15), £9.70 family of 2 adults and 2 children. Your deposit will
only be refunded in case of cancellation due to very bad weather.
Safety and behaviour You are entirely responsible for the safety
and behaviour of yourself and your group. Written instruction will be
given on the use of the fire site and on general woodland safety. Fires
must not be lit elsewhere. No radios or recorded music. All rubbish must
be taken away with you and the site left as you found it. We reserve the
right to make a charge for any damage to the hut, fireplace, benches or
general area.

print out and fill in the
booking form (click here) and return it
to us, within 10 days of phoning, with your deposit. Then come and have fun!
