It's nearly time to start choosing Christmas trees...
Although the leaves are only just revealing their autumn colours we're already thinking ahead to Christmas at the wood. The first dates to put in your diary are for choosing cut your own tree in our woodland plantation - an annual tradition for many of our visitors.
Oak (family) & Sweet Chestnut (individual) members have first choice from Saturday 27th to Wednesday 31st October. The general public can then choose trees from 1st November. Pay a £10 deposit (redeemable against the full price of the tree) and label a trees (and decorate it if you like!) while it's still growing, then return in December to cut it down to take home.
To ensure there's a sustainable supply for years to come we can only release 500 each year, so it's first come first served.
If you don't find a tree you like don't panic - we sell hundreds of locally grown trees plus holly, wreaths and mistletoe in the yard from 24th November.
More information on our Christmas Festival can be found here - lots more details coming soon!
