Barn Café

Our timber-frame Barn café serves a range of delicious sustainably sourced food and drink. We aim to use local and regional suppliers of fresh, sustainably farmed food and drink (with salads, veg, fruit and eggs from our own garden); we look for organic supplies and aim to let our customers know when ingredients are organic, but quality and and other issues in sustainability like carbon and supporting the local economy are just as important to us.

The local produce we use is complemented by fair-trade and organic produce from further afield when there’s nothing available nearby (tea and coffee doesn’t grow well in Sussex but our fair-trade organic suppliers overseas still get a good deal!).

We've recently acquired an alcohol licence so you can now enjoy a glass (or bottle!) of delicious wine or beer with your meal or as a refreshing reward after a walk in the wood.  We're specialising in local and organic tipples, including fantastic award-winning organic wine from Limney Estate, just 1.8 miles from the wood.
