-
Our
Christmas trees are all English
grown, mostly from the local Wealden area.
-
Locally-grown
means minimum highway pollution and congestion and supports real jobs
in the countryside.
-
In our
dig-your-own we use
the minimum of insecticidal sprays to control aphids and other pests
and whenever possible we use a chemical that kills only the problem
insect.
-
We
control grass and other plants by mowing and by the minimum of
spraying, using a chemical that leaves no residues in the soil.
-
Unlike
an artificial tree, a real Christmas tree can be mulched, composted,
burnt or left to decay. As soon as Christmas is over, a new one is
planted in its place. As it grows, it takes carbon dioxide from the
air and releases oxygen.
