Delightful activity in a magical corner of the woodland
What is it?
Find the magic circle and listen to a story about woodland fairies and elves. Make a fairy or elf garden in the woods from natural things you find on the way, and make a wand to take home. Stickers for all at the end.
Aimed at 3-8 year-olds
How far to walk?
Less than a quarter of a mile, at the top of the wood. The paths are rough, but accessible to buggies.
What to wear?
It's lovely when the children come dressed up (though nothing too precious). Raincoats and good shoes if it's wet!
What does Wilderness Wood provide?
A ranger to organise the activity and provide all equipment.
What to bring?
Bring a picnic tea and birthday cake to enjoy back at the play area or picnic area after the activity. Otherwise, just yourselves!
How many people?
Maximum group size 16 children per ranger, aged 3-8. Minimum 1 adult to 2 children to accompany and help.
What if it’s wet?
We go ahead irrespective of weather conditions. In very wet weather the ranger will run part of the activity under cover.
How much?
£90 for 1 hour. Maximum 16 children per group. Age range 3-8. Price includes 8 adults; extras pay usual admission charge.
When?
Weekdays at any time, including after school. Saturdays and Sundays morning or afternoon. Invite people to arrive 15 mins before the activity is due to start, to allow for latecomers; children can enjoy the play area. With play and birthday tea after the activity, allow 2 hours in total for your party.
Your party will start at the time booked. Please ensure guests arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time, and have used the toilet before the start time. If your party starts late, it will be curtailed, as the rangers have other commitments.

Party bags
Excellent quality party bags can be supplied – two fun toys and a Wilderness Wood pencil, in a recycled paper carrier bag. Price £2.40 each (bag alone 28p, to fill yourself). Please order on children's booking form. Toys rotate periodically.
What now?
Call us on 01825 830509 during office hours to check that your chosen date is free and to make a provisional booking. Fill in this booking form and send full payment within 10 days which confirms your booking. You can then let your guests know what to wear etc. Then come and have fun!
Payment
Send full payment within 10 days of completing your booking form. Any extra adults can be paid for on the day.
Cancellation policy
No refund will be given if you cancel within two weeks of your booked date. Cancellations made more than two weeks in advance will be refunded, less a £10 admin charge.
