Christmas Festival

The wood’s wonderful all year round, but at Christmas is has a special kind of magic. Our Christmas Festival throughout November and December is a celebration of seasonal treats - find the perfect tree, deck it in stunning ethically-sourced decorations, stock up on unique gifts and indulge in sumptuous festive fare. 

Trees
In November explore our woodland plantation and reserve your tree while it’s still growing (members have first choice on 27th - 31st October, general public from 1st November) then come back in December to cut it down. Or choose from hundreds of locally sourced ready-cut trees in the yard from November 24th, along with all the trimmings, including pots and stands, holly, mistletoe, foliage and gorgeous wreaths.

STOP PRESS 13th November  We only have about 100 trees left to reserve in the plantation, and these are mostly in the 3-4ft height range. Come this week to avoid disappointment.

Decorations
From November 1st the Barn’s decked out with a dazzling array of hundreds of ethically sourced decorations – from jewel-like recycled glass baubles and fair-trade felt angels to wooden reindeer and twinkling lanterns. Mix and match for a unique collection of treasures that will become family favourites for years to come.

Gifts
We’ve got Christmas wrapped, with unique gifts and stocking-fillers for all the family. Stop Dad’s gripes about muddy floors with a welly puller and welly rack. Treat Mum to a set of our beautiful hand-painted fair-trade enamel ware or one of our beautiful chopping boards made with wood grown here. Give adventurous boys some outdoor kit to keep them busy – a firestriker, bugbox and robust water bottle. Delight girls with cute soft toys (maybe one of our handknitted teddies) or a set of fair-trade felt hairbands. Surprise the grandparents with a set of recycled glass lanterns or one of our handmade benches.

Festive fare
Warm up with hot soups, drinks, and mince pies warmed on the log stove while you do your Christmas shopping. And our beautiful timber-frame Barn is the perfect venue for festive meals with your work team, family or friends. Groups of 6-30 can choose from delicious 2, 3 or 4-course menus accompanied by carefully chosen local wine and beer, served in a unique festive setting. Contact us to make a booking.
