How to reach us by public transport
We’re in Hadlow Down village, on the south side of the main A272 road, 5 miles north-east of Uckfield in East Sussex. Unfortunately public transport links aren’t great, but with a bit of patience it’s possible to get here by bus or train.

Bus
The only bus service that stops in Hadlow Down is the 318 and 319 travelling between Uckfield and Heathfield (5 miles east of Hadlow Down) on weekdays only.

The Uckfield to Heathfield bus stops at Hadlow Down at 10:51 and 14:51.
The Heathfield to Uckfield bus stops at Hadlow Down at 09:44, 12:09 and 16:29.

Train
Travelling to the Wood from London:

From London Bridge direct trains depart hourly for Buxted station, on the Uckfield line.

From Victoria change at East Croydon or Oxted. The journey takes c. 70 minutes.

Buxted station is 3 miles west of the Wood. Call TMT Taxis on 01825 764646 or R&R Taxis on 01825 765885. Or call us on 01825 830 509 for a leaflet showing footpaths from the station to Wilderness Wood.
